Written to answer a challenge for "A War Song that is different from the usual" this came about thinking about how much our wars of Pennsic and Gulf and Estrella that was are so much fun... and how wars of the real world are... not.

 For one of the Aethelmearc "AELive!" productions which helped keep the Kingdom together during the pandemic lockdowns, I was asked to perform a piece. I asked Maynard, then king and my nominal patron as one of two Sylvan bards, for a theme and he said "Uhh, Chivalry? The attributes of Chivalry maybe?"

... the King asked for a Chivalry song. Go figure. :D

So, I pondered and wound up writing this in a somewhat mundane folk ballad style in the key of C.

Composed one afternoon at Pennsic while reflecting on how often the words to songs I SWEAR I know just.... pffft... zip out of my mind. My notes say this is from AS 46, actual sheet music will be around ... someday. Maybe.
